  • Oh dear, xanga is so funny.  They made the previous post so that's why it's funny, but thanks for those of you who commented!!  I must say though, nice upgrade since the last time I actually blogged.  I know it has been a while, but I just don't like to blog so much anymore...I guess partly I don't want to be too open and everyone knowing my business, yet it's only fair b/c I know I love reading about how everyone else is doing.

God is good, that's all I got for you for tonight.  I'm trying to work on this thing called sleeping earlier and getting to work earlier on time, so I better get going.  Hope you all are doing well!

    Happy Chinese New Year!

  • Love-Love NY!

New York...is great.  It is a surprise to me how much I actually enjoy living here, so far at least.  I used to think NY might be too big, too fast, just too much for me, but I am happy, healthy, have a really amazing place to live (right on the river!), work at an awesome agency, and not starving at all.  Yay!  I mean, I would say that I'm very adaptable to new situations and able to take what I'm given and make the most of it, I think that helps.  But still, I can't believe it is already my third week here.

As far as work goes, I'm working on the coolest account at my agency: The U.S. Open!  I am an AAE on the American Express team, and being that this agency is an events & promotions agency, that's what we'll be doing at the U.S. Open.  I will get to see some amazing, the best actually, tennis, and we're just in the planning and close to execution stage.  My team is so nice and really supportive and welcoming, and I'm just excited about everything we're doing.  This is the kind of work that I've always been looking for, one where it's not even work but tons of fun!: ).  See, it does exist my friends, you just have to have patience to find it (and find yourself along the way, still working on that).  I feel so blessed.

Otherwise, I'm meeting new friends and trying out new things, going on little adventures.  My life now is better than I would have ever expected.  Let me know if you are in NY (or have friends here that I can hang out with, haha), and we can get together!  There are actually a bunch of good friends from my school here as well, which is great.  Everything works out, believe it.  Happy 4th of July!

  • Goodbye!

    Friends,

I am leaving for NY for a long time this WED June 13th to start a new life, become a new person, meet new people,  live in an exciting new city.  I have been so caught up getting ready to go to NY mentally and physically that I didn't even realize that I only have 2 more days left in GA.  I apologize that I didn't get to say bye to so many people, but I will surely be back and will be in touch on facebook and occasionally xanga if I remember: ).  Thanks for being here for me through the years and for all the encouragement and support.  I'm a little scared about the big move, but I'm hopeful that it's going to be a blast and that I will grow a lot from the whole experience.  All for God's glory!

    Peace: )

  • New York, NY!

Guess what...I'm moving to NYC! I finally know where I am working at my first rotation (6 months): Momentum Worldwide! I'm am VERY excited about working there!  The office is near Chinatown (dim sum!).

I need a place to live though, so if you know someone or any good areas or general advice, please send my way! This is a big move, and I know it's going to be hard in many ways, but I know that NY is the place God is sending me b/c I will grow the most from living there. But it's sure going to be tough...all I know, all I have, is hope and faith in God to provide and be my strength. That's the only way it can happen and be all for his glory.

Anyhow, I will be starting my NY To-Do list once I settle down, which will prob be after the summertime heh, but feel free to help me start--*restaurants*, shows, shops, museums, other places to see and visit, things to do...anything!

I appreciate your prayers and advice!
