New York...is great. It is a surprise to me how much I actually enjoy living here, so far at least. I used to think NY might be too big, too fast, just too much for me, but I am happy, healthy, have a really amazing place to live (right on the river!), work at an awesome agency, and not starving at all. Yay! I mean, I would say that I'm very adaptable to new situations and able to take what I'm given and make the most of it, I think that helps. But still, I can't believe it is already my third week here.
As far as work goes, I'm working on the coolest account at my agency: The U.S. Open! I am an AAE on the American Express team, and being that this agency is an events & promotions agency, that's what we'll be doing at the U.S. Open. I will get to see some amazing, the best actually, tennis, and we're just in the planning and close to execution stage. My team is so nice and really supportive and welcoming, and I'm just excited about everything we're doing. This is the kind of work that I've always been looking for, one where it's not even work but tons of fun!: ). See, it does exist my friends, you just have to have patience to find it (and find yourself along the way, still working on that). I feel so blessed.
Otherwise, I'm meeting new friends and trying out new things, going on little adventures. My life now is better than I would have ever expected. Let me know if you are in NY (or have friends here that I can hang out with, haha), and we can get together! There are actually a bunch of good friends from my school here as well, which is great. Everything works out, believe it. Happy 4th of July!
